How to Start a Conversation With a Girl

The top 8 teaching qualities parents must have in marriage

A Marriage gives you the responsibility to train your children to become a responsible adult. And you must know that you are your child first teacher. Moreover, you can be your wife's teacher and vice versa. For instance, you can teach your wife something she may not initially possess. However, this can only be achieved if you can take up a teaching role in order to impact her.

Many successes can be achieved in your marriage if you who is the leader can possess teaching qualities. Moreover, if you want peace, you need to train up your child in the way he should go.  I have always been of the opinion that marriage is a call to responsibility. It is not meant for the immature but for those that are matured.

Every home must have a model and for this reason, parents must have the required skills to build according to the model. And one of the skills is the teaching skill which I shall discuss with its top qualities. These qualities are:

1.  A teacher must be positive

You can’t be negative about your children or spouse and expect something good to come out from them. For instance, if your husband is a drunkard and you desire a change for him, the first thing you need to do is to be positive about his change. This will help you and him to get the desired result without causing tension to your marriage.

2.  A teacher must be very understanding

This is an ability to see from your children or spouse point of view and for you to have a hint of their challenges. This will help you to give adequate help to them. Also, this quality is very helpful in solving the differences between married couples.

3.  A teacher must be encouraging

The number one place a child ought to receive encouragement should be from his or her parents. Also, the man needs encouragement so also the wife. A marriage can’t be successful if the home lacks encouragement. This entails giving credit to any little achievement and also making your family members know that they can do better.

4.  A teacher must have tolerance

This is the ability to acknowledge and accommodate individual differences in the family. For instance, as a father the level of pressure you can absorb from your wife and children will determine your level of tolerance. You must try to give room for mistakes and also make the necessary correction.

5.  A teacher must be friendly and have a sense of humor

You must be able to make your children and your spouse happy at all time. Having a good time with your children and wife, sharing lovely stories with them, taking them out for trips, etc. will help your marriage to be peaceful and successful.

6.  A teacher must be well informed

A man that isn’t well-informed can't be a successful leader at home. You must arm yourself with necessary and quality information that will benefit your wife and children. There is a common saying that “if you are not informed, you will be deformed”. If you don’t want to deform your marriage then be well-informed.

7.  A teacher must be fair

This is the ability to make judgments free from discrimination or dishonesty. And H. Jackson Brown said “live so that when your children think of fairness, caring, and integrity, they will think of you. This can be true if one of your teaching techniques is teaching by example.

8.  A teacher must be enthusiastic

You must be lively and interesting to your children and spouse. To be an effective teacher at home, you need to be lively. I have never seen a student who loves a boring teacher. So always show a great excitement at home.

If you put the above qualities into practice it will help you to train, nurture, and model your children to a responsible adult and good citizen.
